Proof Active Dry Yeast (1 tsp) in Milk (1/2 cup). Add Granulated Sugar (3 Tbsp) and wait till it’s all bubbly.

Add All-Purpose Flour (2 cups), Vanilla Extract (1 tsp), Egg (1), and Salt (1/2 tsp). Mix for one minute. Add Butter (1.5 oz) slowly while mixing.

Knead until donut dough is smooth, elastic, and shiny. Cover it in an oiled bowl and let it rise for an hour in a warm place.

Roll out dough to around ½ inch / 1.2 cm thick with a rolling pin. Cut out donut shapes with a tool or a cup and a smaller cup. Keep the donut “holes”.
